This past weekend my family and I participated in the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network’s Houston Walk for Food Allergy and had a ball! We’ve fundraised and walked every year for the past four or five years and it has become a wonderful tradition for us.
As most of you know by now, my son has peanut, tree nut, sesame, and chickpea allergies and I have celiac disease. You can see why the Walk for Food Allergy is so dear to our hearts. Our journey started almost eight years ago and today we are still living the food allergy life, but with a HUGE smile!
The FAAN Walk is a family affair for us!
The location was just perfect…
TheFoodAllergyMom.Org even made it onto the back of the official Houston Walk shirt. (Bottom center)
If you haven’t registered for your local FAAN walk, hop online and register today. It doesn’t cost a dime to walk, although fundraising is encouraged.
Register to walk. Make a difference. Save a life.
